Sous Chef

Proven experience in managing a busy kitchen is desired, however, if you are an experienced Chef De Partie and feel you are ready to take on your next challenge, we will not shy away from training and developing your skills. Ultimately, your skill, attitude, drive and passion is key to being successful in this role.

 

The role:

  • Ability to successfully manage and run all sections of the kitchen (pass, fryers, hobs)

  • Ensuring the highest quality dishes are served to our guests

  • Excellent attention to detail and capability to work quickly with a personable, respectful nature

  • Leading the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef

  • Complying with all health and safety regulations as set by the Food Standards Agency

  • Supporting Junior Chefs in their development

  • Assisting with food stock, ordering and liaising with suppliers

  • Responsible for orders and maintaining good stock and quality control

  • Working closely with the head chef and team to ensure our menus are exciting and the food delicious

  • Supportive of your team, taking the lead alongside the head chef to ensure inclusivity

  • Confident working in a fast paced, busy kitchen

  • Organised, clean, and tidy, working well under pressure

  • Holding all relevant qualifications in kitchen hygiene
